Erin Smith (she/her/hers) is in her final year of the Social Work master’s program at University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. She is working as a Student Intern at Oak City Psychology to complete her practicum education. Erin is passionate about direct practice work and the importance of supportive and safe therapeutic environments. 

Erin completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia, majoring in Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Women’s Studies. Erin has previous experience working as a substance abuse counselor in Athens, Georgia.

Erin enjoys reading and collecting books, doing crafts and puzzles, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her cat, Cosmo.


Elizabeth Johnson (she/her/hers) is currently a master’s student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the College of William & Mary.  She is excited to be completing her fieldwork (practicum and internship) at Oak City Psychology.  Elizabeth is passionate about women’s issues, helping those with anxiety and depression, and hopes to create a safe environment for her clients where they are empowered to live their most authentic lives.

Elizabeth earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Meredith College and her Master’s in Elementary Education and Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb University.  For the past 22 years, Elizabeth worked in her childhood elementary school, working in various positions including a classroom teacher for grades K-4, an ESL teacher, AIG teacher, and instructional coach.   Elizabeth lives in her childhood hometown with her husband, two teenage sons, and two cats.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting Disney World and Universal Orlando, crafting, and learning about counseling-related topics.


Cole Urh (they/she/he) is a therapist with generalist training, though they specialize in working with adolescents, teenagers, and emerging adults and their families. They completed their undergraduate degree at North Carolina State University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Spanish. Cole continued on to obtain her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Regent University in Virginia Beach. They completed their doctoral internship and postdoctoral training at Boys Town Center for Behavioral Health in Omaha, Nebraska.

Cole has worked with a wide range of clinical concerns and in various settings. He has provided services in outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization, assessment, and residential settings and has worked with young children, teenagers, adults, couples, families, and elderly populations. Specifically, Cole enjoys working on internalizing concerns, such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. They are passionate about identity development, navigating the systems someone lives in (familial, occupational, societal, etc), and finding more effective ways to cope. As a member of the queer and neurodivergent communities, Cole loves to work with clients to find the best ways for them to thrive in the environments they have chosen.

Cole has lived in many different places, but currently resides in Raleigh, NC with their partner, dog, and three cats. They love to crochet, read, write, play TTRPGs, and bake delicious treats.
