Taryn Ward (she/her/hers) is a therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. She is committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their identities, work on healing, and pursue personal growth. Taryn uses trauma-informed care in her practice and specializes in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and disordered eating. She also has a strong focus on supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Taryn earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William & Mary and her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Monmouth College. She completed her practicum and internship at Oak City Psychology, where she gained extensive experience working with individuals of all ages and from various backgrounds.

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Taryn has called North Carolina home for nearly 20 years. She lives in the triangle area with her husband, two children, and two dogs. Outside of her work, Taryn enjoys being outdoors, reading, trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends.
